Dr. Lotes Nelson is an educator, clinician, and national and international speaker who works at the intersection of counseling practice, ethics, and emerging technology. She is an associate professor of counseling at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions and has spent years training future therapists while also working closely with clinicians in the field. Dr. Nelson’s work focuses on helping clinicians navigate real-world issues showing up in the therapy room, including the growing influence of artificial intelligence on how clients understand their mental health. She brings a practical, straight-talk approach that helps clinicians respond confidently and ethically when technology enters the counseling conversation
